Return - Bombers

Bombers with over 50% damage, or two engines out, will divert to Turkey and will not enter the table.

Of the remaining planes those with 20% or more damage, or one engine out may be diverted to Turkey at the player's discretion. Those that are so diverted will not enter the table.

Of those planes selected to enter the table:

• Eight Air Force planes must enter the table from middle 4 to high 2. They enter between five and fifteen hexes to the left of the center line.
• Ninth Air Force planes must enter in the table from middle 4 to middle 6. They enter between five and fifteen hexes to the right of the center line. They may never enter the high altitude band.

All bombers must exit the table between the indicated positions at middle one or higher or they are considered to have been lost to the enemy.

Planes entering will do so by Air Force. One group entering per turn. Indicate sequence, band, and level for each

Each plane diverted to Turkey +10 points
Each plane that returns to Africa +25 points
Each plane lost to the enemy - 75 points

If the US has a positive point value after the battle they win. If a negative, they lose.
